Josie Edie May is a storyteller who weaves words into beautiful, introspective songs. Her songwriting is fuelled by emotions, metaphors, and wordplay. Born and raised in Suffolk and now currently living in Essex, Josie has always been inspired by the countryside she grew up in. Josie writes of her own experiences, others, and also writes from the perspective of fictional characters.

Josie is influenced by pop, folk, and country and is inspired by artists such as Maggie Rogers, Nina Nesbitt, and Jenson McRae. Josie creates connections with her audiences, leaving people hanging on to every word. Her set consists of her and her guitar; she plays around with dynamics and entertains a silent, mesmerised crowd. Josie Edie May recently released her single ‘I Love You But…’ and is releasing a new single in September. Josie is working away in the studio to release more music in 2026.
